OPENLANE Canada Quick Tip: Downloading the App, Notifications and More
Today, we’ll walk you through three tips and tricks to master OPENLANE® quicker and ultimately, sell or buy your vehicles more easily when you’re wholesaling vehicles online.
Download the App, Wholesale on the Go
Downloading the OPENLANE app leads to quicker online wholesaling because you aren’t tied to your desk when you’re buying and selling vehicles. You can access the power of the marketplace anywhere, anytime. That means you can turn idle time into wholesale wins. Waiting in line for a coffee? You can respond to a buyer’s question online while you wait. Walking your dog? You can do a casual browse and add vehicles to your watchlist that you’ll want to view later. The beauty of online vehicle wholesale is that it can go where you go.
Find Vehicles Even Easier
First, start on the Browse Vehicles tab from the navigation on the lefthand side. From there, you can apply and combine filters like make, model, year, and more to pinpoint exactly what you’re looking for when you’re browsing for vehicles (if you’d like to learn more about our filters — read this blog: A Car Dealer’s Guide: Understanding Our Filters and Search Features). Then, you can save these custom searches so you can easily pick up right where you left off. It’s a faster, smarter way to find your ideal inventory.
3 Easy Steps to Save Custom Searches
- Select your preferred filters and hit “Save Filter”
- Give your “search” a name
- Choose if you want alerts for matching cars
Never Miss a Beat with Notifications
You can easily create real-time, tailored notifications so that you’re always in the loop, and ready to seize time-sensitive opportunities. That buyer whose question you answered? You can get alerts if the vehicle sells to them. That vehicle you put in your watch list? You can get a heads up if the seller reduced the starting bid. These are only a few examples though — there are 29 specific notifications to choose from.
To manage your notifications, go to Settings, then click on Notifications. If you haven’t already, start by enabling your notifications. On this page, you can browse between the categories of notifications (buying and selling), click on the ones that you’ll find most helpful, and toggle them on via the blue bar. You’ll have the option to get both push notifications (mobile) and email notifications (desktop).
