If you’re reading this, you likely already know that buying wholesale vehicles online is a key pillar in your buying strategy, and that it gives you time back in your day. Our filters are one way our dealers find the exact cars they need in the least amount of time possible. Vehicles can be found based on factors like make, model and year, or mileage, condition and trim, and now, by their place of manufacture.
Benefits of Using Our New ‘Place of manufacture’ Filter
Most dealers figure out a vehicle’s country of origin through that car’s VIN. That means they can often be searching through several vehicle VINs before finding one that suits their (or their customer’s) needs. Throw in the need for more vehicle specifications, or being unsure of which VINS to look for, and you’re easily looking at hours of work.
OPENLANE’s Place of manufacture filter works by automatically weeding out vehicles produced in countries you don’t want. Plus, it increases transparency and buying confidence between you and your customer. Knowing the place of manufacture can limit perceived risks about quality, dependability, and additional costs that some consumers may have.
How to Effectively Find Vehicles You Want
After you login, click Browse Vehicles on the left hand side. Next, click Place of manufacture. You’ll see 4 options:
- Manufactured in Canada
- Manufactured in the USA
- Manufactured in Mexico
- Manufactured outside North America
Choose the country or continent you want to see vehicles manufactured from. For example, if you want to only view Canadian cars, click the box next to “Manufactured in Canada.” A checkmark will appear in the box to signify that the filter was added. If your vehicle search results have any other criteria they need to meet, you can choose those here too.
