FAQ

What key areas are covered during a post-sale inspection?

Our post-sale inspections feature two main checklists, Mechanical and Structural. Key areas covered in these checklists include a thorough examination of the engine and transmission and other mechanical features for functionality, along with structural integrity checks of the vehicle’s frame and body. Electrical accessories like windows, entertainment systems and sunroofs will be inspected, along with a road test and a specific inspection to check for water damage.

When is my post-sale inspection completed?

Post-sale inspections are typically finished within 24 hours of purchase, before the car leaves the lot.

What happens if my vehicle passes a post-sale inspection?

Once a vehicle passes the inspection, buyers must collect their vehicles or arrange for transport within 5 business days from the completion of the post-sale inspection.

What happens if my vehicle fails a post-Sale Inspection?

A vehicle will classify as a “FAIL” if one or more defects are found exceeding a certain dollar threshold. Each vehicle that is classified as a “FAIL” is immediately entered into arbitration. Next, an arbitration specialist will be assigned — they will reach out to both parties within 24 hours to facilitate a reasonable and fair solution.

Is there anything that is not inspected during the inspection?

Advanced Driver-Assist Systems, vehicles found to be inoperable, Electric Vehicle or hybrid batteries and systems, and non-OEM equipment are all not inspected. Vehicles that are marked AS-IS — undergo a structural inspection only. A post-sale inspection is required with every purchase, with the exception of certain vehicles.
