Analytics Update

The OPENLANE Market Index represents pricing and dealer vehicle interest trends across all vehicle segments in our online marketplace. Highlights for Canada include:

• During August, overall Canadian auction prices increased by 2 percentage points and ended 10 percentage points above August 2010 levels.
• Prices for all vehicle segments increased in August from the prior month.
• SUV and Truck interest increased in August while interest in Cars and Minivans declined versus the prior month.

KAR Auction Services announced that its subsidiary, ADESA, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the equity of OPENLANE. Peter Kelly will continue as OPENLANE's CEO and will report directly to KAR's CEO, Jim Hallett. CLICK HERE to read more.
